Flagstaff College

Flagstaff College is a new, innovative college that takes seriously the question, “How do we create just and sustainable communities that can withstand the rapid environmental and social changes underway?”

Located at the base of the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff, Arizona, we welcome students who have completed enough undergraduate work (through study at a university, dual enrollment, or advanced placement) to be ready to commit to our single major in “Sustainability and Social Change.” We also offer a certificate for people who have completed their undergraduate education or simply want to deepen their understanding and gain relevant skills and experience.

Our graduates are prepared for positions in municipalities and non-profits, in the sustainable food, energy, natural resource, and design sectors, and in public policy and advocacy work. They are able to combine meaningful and ethical work with work that is good for the planet.

All our courses are small and face-to-face. We meet around seminar tables and out in the field. We focus on how to put ideas into practice. We value hands-on learning and problem-solving. Our tuition is exceptionally affordable and scholarship funding is available to support our inaugural class of students.

The decades in front of us will be very different from those behind us, challenging us to rethink human relations and systems. Our curriculum is designed to face up to these challenges and prepare students to be leaders in sustainability and social change.

Applications for the B.A. and Certificate programs are reviewed on a rolling basis. To apply and for more information go to www.FlagstaffCollege.education  928-380-6952
